IIDA Releases Video to Address Interior Design Legislation
As you know, IIDC's advocacy efforts focus on enforing the Illinois Interior Design Act which helps protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. To help educate the public about how interior designers affect health, safety, and welfare, follow the link to the IIDA Legislation Video for your use. This video, produced in collaboration between the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the Tennessee Interior Design Coalition (TIDC) is a terrific way to build interest and support for interior design legislation with legislators, educators, students, and the general pubic alike.

Cindy Coleman Writes Article to Raise Public Awareness
Cindy Coleman, a partner in the Chicago-based design and communications firm Frankel + Coleman and educator at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is also a contributing editor for Interior Design magazine. At IIDC’s request, Cindy recently wrote an article to help raise public awareness about what an Interior Designer does and what is at risk when an unqualified Interior Designer works on a project. IIDC has shared this article with other state coalitions and magazine publications and we are optimistic this article will be published by a number of these sources.
