The Illinois Interior Design Coalition is a not-for-profit
political action committee whose mission is to protect the integrity of the Interior Design Title Act. The Interior Design Title Act prohibits anyone not registered by the state from representing or identifying him/herself as a "Registered Interior Designer" or "Registered Residential Interior Designer". The Title Act assures regulation of design affecting the public's life, health, safety and welfare through state established criteria for education, experience and examination. The Title Act also defines a scope of services performed by a Registered Interior Designer. Through registration,iInterior designers gain recognition from extended project teams including, architects, engineers, contractors, brokers and clients.
